X Master Class in Harbin, China
Our 10th Master Class on Vitiligo and Pigmentary Disorders was held in Harbin, China, on August 1-3, 2015. European and Chinese guidelines were reviewed in fine detail. Unlike the straightforward European treatment approach, the Chinese consensus pay special attention to all factors that may influence the disease activity, treatment outcome and overall health and wellbeing of the patient. Over 300 participants mostly from Eastern and Northern provinces of China attended the Master Class.
Having the most bitterly cold winters among major Chinese cities, Harbin is heralded as the Ice City for its beautiful ice sculpture festival in the winter, the largest in the world. Besides being well known for its historical Russian legacy, it serves as an important gateway in Sino-Russian trade today.
The Master Class was held under the presidency of Professor Xing Hua Gao, MD, Chairman and Professor of Department of Dermatology, No.1 Hospital of China Medical University, and also the President of the World Vitiligo Day campaign 2015.
