Official title: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Phase 2 Study of Melanotan II (Synthetic Cyclic Melanocortin Receptor Agonist) as an Adjunct to Narrowband UV-B Phototherapy in Adults With Stable Nonsegmental Vitiligo

Description:

Hudson Biotech plans to enroll about 60 participants. Melanotan II is an unapproved synthetic hormone-like compound that stimulates melanin production. Combined with UVB light, it may increase skin pigmentation. Possible effects include nausea, flushing, appetite changes, darkening of skin or moles, and other risks that are not fully known. People ages 18 to 65 may qualify. The study is recruiting at one listed site in China.
