Ruxolitinib cream for children ages 2 to 11
Official title: Efficacy and Safety of Ruxolitinib Cream in Children Aged 2-11 Years With Non-segmental Vitiligo: A Single-Center, Real-World Study

The Children's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine plans to enroll about 20 participants. Ruxolitinib cream blocks JAK1 and JAK2 signals that help sustain the immune attack on pigment-producing cells. It is intended to calm inflammation and help affected skin regain color. Ruxolitinib cream is sold as Opzelura and is already approved in the United States for nonsegmental vitiligo in people age 12 and older and for atopic dermatitis. This study is testing a younger age group. Possible effects include application-site acne, itching or redness, headache, and infections. People ages 2 to 11 may qualify. Recruitment has not started yet; the record lists one listed site in China.
