This June, World Vitiligo Day isn’t just raising awareness — it’s raising the bar. We’re proud to announce that WVD 2025 is now an official part of Toronto Tech Week, shining a spotlight on how emerging technologies are transforming the way we care for our skin — and ourselves.
On June 25, we’re hosting a full-day summit themed "Innovation for Every Skin, Powered by AI." We’ll explore how AI, digital dermatology, and personalized care tools are helping rewrite the story of vitiligo—from delayed diagnoses and guesswork to fast, accurate, stigma-free support. Whether you’re navigating this condition yourself, caring for someone who is, or just passionate about health equity—there’s a seat at the table for you.
We’re also spotlighting Canada’s top healthtech innovators, including the Toronto-based AI pioneers at Skinopathy, and a new generation of startups working on precision nutrition, hormone-informed care, phototherapy at home, and emotional wellness platforms designed with real people — many of them children — in mind.
This isn’t our first time thinking outside the box. WVD 2023 in Kazakhstan was backed by the national Ministry of Health, and WVD-2022 in Mexico had the full support of the Senate, complete with national television coverage. Now, we’re bringing that same bold, global energy to one of the most forward-thinking cities in North America.
Toronto Tech Week is about ideas that scale. World Vitiligo Day is about stories that need to be heard. Together, we’re showing how innovation can be compassionate, community-driven—and powerful.
Join us at worldvitiligoday.ca to be part of the conversation. Because the future of skin health shouldn’t just be high-tech — it should be human.
