Crisaborole with microneedling for vitiligo
Official title: Microneedling Combined With Topical Crisaborole 2 % Ointment in Treatment of Vitiligo. A Prospective Controlled Trial.
Tanta University plans to enroll about 20 participants. Crisaborole is a topical PDE4 inhibitor that reduces inflammation, while microneedling may help it enter the skin. The combination may calm the local immune response and stimulate pigment return. Crisaborole is sold as Eucrisa for atopic dermatitis; vitiligo would be a new use. Possible effects include burning, stinging, redness, pain, bleeding, and rarely infection or an allergic reaction. The study record does not list an age range. Recruitment has not started, and no locations are listed yet.
