Title: Cali, Colombia Welcomes Global Community for World Vitiligo Day 2024: 'United by the Skin / Unidos Por la Piel'

NEW YORK, USA - June 22, 2024 - The World Vitiligo Day Presidential Committee is thrilled to announce that Cali, Colombia, will host World Vitiligo Day (WVD) 2024. This year's theme, "United By The Skin," emphasizes advancing knowledge of this lifelong condition and building a united community for nearly 100 million people affected by vitiligo.

Scheduled for June 24-25, the event offers a series of dynamic programs aimed at promoting informed treatment choices and encouraging patient involvement in their care. Under the honorary presidency of Dr. Claudia Arenas and General Secretary Dr. Adriana Cruz, along with a dedicated team of activists, these initiatives will take center stage.

June 24 kicks off with a focus on innovative clinical matters, while June 25 dives into practical management of vitiligo, covering pharmaceutical and traditional treatments, camouflage techniques, and psychological support. Additionally, there's a creative contest with prizes for art, poetry, and AI-driven creations focused on vitiligo.

Concurrently, the Vitiligo International Patient Organisations Committee (VIPOC) will orchestrate WVD events in Paris, France, uniting patient representatives from the EU, Asia, and Africa for a series of workshops, advocacy endeavors, and collaborative projects.

In the United States, the Wonderfully Made Indianapolis Vitiligo Community and Global Vitiligo Foundation will host a vibrant series of events celebrating World Vitiligo Day 2024 in Indianapolis, IN. This includes the Camp Victory for kids and their families on June 19-20, followed by the Vitiligo Physician Education Summit.
