News - 26 Jun `23Wrapping up the World Vitiligo Day 2023

New

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

June 23rd to 26th, World Vitiligo Day (WVD) emerged as more than just an observance, it was a beacon of change. Together, we cast a global spotlight on the lives of over 100 million individuals impacted by vitiligo.

The festivities commenced in Kazakhstan with the Clinical Day featuring a captivating live demonstration of vitiligo treatment, hosted by esteemed leaders, Dr. Aliya Kassymkhanova and Dr. Anar Abdrakhmanova. Following this, the Scientific Day saw us delve deep into vitiligo discussions and interactive Q&As. We concluded with the Patient Day, reinforcing our commitment to the young and their caregivers at Shymkent's Vitiligo School.

But our message echoed beyond Kazakhstan's borders. In Brussels, the Vitiligo International Patient Organisations Committee (VIPOC) led advocacy initiatives and informative workshops. And let's not forget the noteworthy conference hosted by the Global Vitiligo Foundation in Atlanta, which furthered our shared cause.

In collaboration with partners like the Aksenov Family Foundation and INCYTE, we're relentlessly fighting vitiligo. Every single donated dollar is being utilized to its full potential, ensuring a maximum impact on our mission.

We're redefining the vitiligo narrative, but we need your voice. Please share your thoughts and feedback at info@vrfoundation.org

Keep pushing forward, because every step matters. Let's grow together in this journey.

Yours,

Yan Valle,

CEO, VR Foundation
